First, the shameless plug:
"Automatons" is opening it's run at the Pioneer Theatre next week and if you happen to be in the New York area, please come down and check it out. If you'd like to laugh, point and throw things, I'll be introducing the movie and doing Q&A sessions afterward on a few of the days, once with His Evilness, James Felix McKenney and a few days as a solo act. The schedule is right here.

And now, more shame, different variety, the shame of posting a bunch of photos when one should be typing away about ideas, events or anything even halfway interesting. The thing is, I've been meaning to post a bunch of these for a while, which will become obvious, but never had that final push of motivation to do so. Now, I'm on my way out the door to the Caliper Studios holiday party and will no doubt take lots of photos of my friends and colleagues for the purposes of blackmail. So to make room, here we go...

Completely ineffectual cheering during the Mets' Division Series.

The paper suit store. It has been explained to me that these are used in Buddhist funeral rituals. Not sure if these are burned or buried with the dead. The store also sells paper money which I believe you need in Hell, and apparently everyone goes to Hell first in this tradition, travels through it, and leaves. Anyone who knows what this is about, please comment.

The scene of the crime. The bedroom/bath renovation on the Lower East Side. That curved part is the curb for a shower. This was taken on the day I put in the new wood floor, matching it to the old least that is the idea once it is stained and finished. Matching an existing stain and finish is a low percentage play, as they say...

  1. I don't know about Buddhist funerals, but I think a paper suit might be handy if you need to be dressed up on a budget.

Ah, blackmail photos...I know them well!

The wearers of the paper clothing will know what time the next train is leaving hell..."Excuse me, is that a Movado"?

LOVE the large shower area in the reno., no banging ones head while picking up dropped soap.

  3. OH I so wanted the Mets to go to the world series, but alas it wasn't ment to be.

I don't know anything about currency used in Hell, but my father once told me about paper dresses women made back in the 1930's and prayed they wouldn't get caught out in the rain for fear the dye in the print would run.

Traveling through Hell? Sometimes I feel I'm traveling through Hell right here, right now- don't need to wait to die to travel through it. lol

The jacket you are wearing in the photo at the Mets game is hilarious.
